Cheesy Brat Stew

I made a new recipe the other night.  It was delicious!  Despite the green beans, my kids still ate it.  Well, Berticus still picked through them a little bit.  He's never liked anything green.  His first food as a baby was green beans and it didn't go over very well.  Medicine has never settled well with him either.  Even as a baby, Tylenol never would stay down.  That has proven to be tough at times.

This recipe was soooo easy and yummy that it is going in my "Repeat Recipe" file.

Cheesy Brat Stew
-6 brats, cut into 1/2" pieces
-4 medium potatoes, cubed
-1 - 15 oz. can green beans
-1 small onion, chopped
-1 c grated cheddar cheese
-1 can cream of mushroom soup
-1 cup water

-Brown brats, drain.
-Combine all ingredients in a large pan and cook over low heat for about 1 hour or until potatoes are done.
-You may also use a slow cooker and cook on low about 4 hours.

I just love cooking in a crockpot.  With a busy family of 5, it's a good feeling to come home to supper all ready for us!  Now if only there was something that would make it possible to come home to a clean house after a busy day......

Brown and cut brats

Mix all ingredients in crockpot (or pan)

It doesn't get much easier than that!

I hope everyone is taking time to enjoy the Christmas season and remember the love of our Christ.  Take a deep breath, relax, and let the Reason for the Season fill you with peace!
